Bios:
Claude S. Copeland, Jr.
Claude is a first generation American of Jamaican descent. He is a Black Army veteran, educator, organizer, and healing practitioner. While serving in the Army, he was deployed to Iraq for fifteen months from April 2003 to July 2004. He has been a member of About Face, formerly Iraq Veterans Against the War, for close to ten years and has served on the Board for two separate terms. Currently, he’s a high school teacher in the Bronx.
Paul Chaffin
Paul enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006 at the age of 17, serving throughout East Asia with the 31st MEU (Camp Hansen, Okinawa), and later deploying to Afghanistan with CLR-2 (Camp Lejeune, NC). He is a New School alumnus and lives in Astoria.
