Spitting Image Art Book Fair is a community exhibition and trading event curated by students of Eugene Lang College and Parsons School of Design.
With a focus on artists' books, zines, and print ephemera, Spitting Image hopes to honor New York City's 'DIY' scene through the display of contemporary paperworks. In its inaugural year, Spitting Image is set to feature 21 student exhibitors and guest exhibitors like the Vera List Center for Arts and Politics and The New School Archives.
The event will also feature an artists' talk of Parsons alum working in independent publishing: 'In Conversation with Chuck Magazine & Phase Zero: On the Collaborative and Curatorial Efforts of Creative Publishing,' and a collage-making workshop.
Presented by the Office of Civic Engagement and Social Justice at Lang and Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School.
