Dr. Jennifer Walske is an assistant professor (adjunct) at UCLA Anderson, and has served as the faculty director of Impact@Anderson. She is also a visiting scholar at Berkeley-Haas. As a writer, researcher and investor, Dr. Walske sits on numerous for profit and non-profit boards. Her research centers on the funding and scaling of startups, with an emphasis on social startups and social venture capital firms. Dr. Walske has received numerous research and teaching awards including the “best paper” award from NYU Stern’s Social Entrepreneurship Conference and the Cheit Award for Teaching Excellence at Berkeley-Haas.
Prior to her academic career, Dr. Walske was an institutional All American ranked investment banking securities analyst and a regular commentator on both CNN and CNBC. Prior to investment banking Dr. Walske served in product marketing roles at Synopsys and Intergraph. She holds a doctorate in strategy and entrepreneurship from Boston University, an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA in Communication Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
Aaditeshwar Seth is co-founder of the social enterprise Gram Vaani, and a faculty in the Department of Computer Science at IIT Delhi. Aaditeshwar is passionate about building technologies that can empower people with information. Work done by his team at Gram Vaani and students at IIT Delhi are now in use by over 150 developmental organizations, and more than 2 million people have directly touched their platforms. Several elements of their work have also been adopted by government departments for scaleup, and have influenced the use of ICTs for development within many international aid and development organizations.
Richa Saxena is a faculty member in Human Resource Management area at Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad (India). She has over 15 years of teaching, research, consulting and industry experience. She has earned her Doctorate from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad (India). Her teaching and research interests include contemporary issues in careers; career success; diversity management; gender issues in management; and change management.
She is part of the esteemed “Cross-Cultural Collaboration on Contemporary Careers (5C)” group, which is a global consortium of reputed academicians and researchers. Her research work has been published in internationally reputed peer-reviewed journals like Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management Journal, and Journal of Education & Work. At present, she is part of the Editorial Board of South Asian Journal of Human Resources Management as an Associate Editor. As a Visiting / Adjunct faculty she has also taught at various premier institutes of India including IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi, TAPMI and IRMA.
Akhil SG is a graduate student in Nonprofit Management with a minor in Global Urban Futures at the New School. He is the founding president of Sahridhaya, a non profit based in Kerala that works for creating social awareness among youth for the last 8 years. He also works as a consultant for initiatives at the intersection of social justice and technology in academic and public institutions.
Before engaging with New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) he was the Technology Fellow at Kerala Startupmission, a state government agency that promotes technology startups and a Researcher in Assistive Technology at International Center for Free and Open Source Software. Having a Bachelors in Engineering he explores the organizational interactions of public institutions through a technology lens. Currently researching New York City’s urban food systems from a neighborhood perspective.
Joanne Scillitoe is the inaugural Paul Jennings Chair in Entrepreneurship and a Professor of Management at California State University Northridge. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Management and an MBA from Rutgers University, a BS in Business Administration from The College of New Jersey, and an A.A.S. degree in Biological Technology from Middlesex County Community College.
She is the 2015-16 Fulbright-SyCip Distinguished Lecturer (Philippines) and a 2018-19 Fulbright Senior Scholar (Spain). Prior to her appointment at CSUN she was a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at New York Institute of Technology and an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Michigan Technological University. Prior to her academic career, she had over 17 years of life sciences work experience. Her research interests include business incubation processes, technological innovation processes, technology entrepreneurship, socio-tech entrepreneurship and innovation, and interdisciplinary. Dr. Scillitoe's research has won several best paper awards and has been published in top-tier academic journals.
Kaushlendra, a Cochran Fellow 2012 of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) & Ashoka Fellow, is a social entrepreneur and is the Founder & Managing Trustee of Kaushalya Foundation (KF), Founder of Bihar Climate Network and promoter of the brand Samriddhii, MBA Sabziwala and was a member of StartUp Bihar Trust, Govt. of Bihar, India. He is a Yale ( Yale School of Management, USA) Social Fellow and has promoted 18 farmers organizations in Bihar, India. He was also Founding Curator for the Patna Hub of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shaper Community and had been Working Committee Member of National Institute of Hydrology (Ministry of Water Resources, Govt. of India) in the past.
He is awarded Young Alumni Achiever’s Award 2021, in the Social / Public Service category by his alma Mater IIM Ahmedabad. His social work is awarded as Rashtriya Swaym Sidhh Samman 2019 by JSPL foundation. He is honoured as Environment Gem by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti in 2017 and is awarded by Amazing Indians Grassroot Soldiers Award 2012 by Times Now. His socio-entrepreneurial venture is awarded Sankalp Award 2011 by Intellecap. His organization is also awarded Wantraprneur 2010 by Villgro & The Lemelson Foundation. He is also included in the list of 50 social entrepreneurship of India, published by Outlook Business. He has been selected as social entrepreneur of the year by mystory.com and sun microsystem in 2009. His work is widely acclaimed & covered by all leading newspaper & journals worldwide. Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has published a management case study in its management journal January- March 2011 on his journey - Samriddhii in 2011.
His integrated and inclusive model for vegetable value chain is to be adopted in many states of India. The National Horticulture Mission (NHM), a nodal agency for the development of Horticulture in India has recommended the Samriddhii work to every state government for replication and also included the model in recently initiated National Vegetable Initiative for Urban Cluster Development .
His birthplace is in a remote small village of Nalanda district of Bihar state in India. He got his primary education in his village and did matriculation from JNVR Nawada which had played a greater role in shaping his life. He did engineering in agriculture from Gujarat Agriculture University in 2003 and did his MBA from India’s top business school Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Keeping People and Planet (2Ps) in the focus and ultimate goal of his life, his organization ( KF) has promoted 18 Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in Bihar.
