Honoring the best books of 2023, The Publishing Triangle presents the Judy Grahn Award for Lesbian Nonfiction, the Randy Shilts Award for Gay Nonfiction, the Audre Lorde Award for Lesbian Poetry, the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry, the Joseph Hansen Award for LGBTQ+ Crime Writing, the new Jacqueline Woodson Award for LGBTQ+ Children’s/Young Adult Literature, the Leslie Feinberg Award for Trans & Gender-Variant Literature, and the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction.
The purpose of The Publishing Triangle is to further the publication of books and other materials written by LGBT authors or with LGBT themes. Founded in 1988, The Publishing Triangle works to create support and a sense of community for lesbian and gay people in the publishing industry. We offer forums, as well as networking and social opportunities, for our members. In addition we sponsor programs to increase awareness of and appreciation for LGBT literature.
