What is the difference between university-wide events, college-specific events, and program-specific events?
We're so glad you asked! At The New School, you're not just a part of your own individual college. You have all the resources of the entire university at your fingertips.
During your schedule, you'll see sessions that pertain to your particular program of study to help you prepare for your academic experience. You'll also see sessions on getting involved, campus resources, and social activities that are open to all students regardless of your college or major. You're encouraged to attend as much as possible (note: some program-specific sessions are mandatory. Monitor your New School email closely for details).
The interdisciplinary nature of The New School is one of our strengths, and we're so glad you'll be a part of this multi-faceted community.
When our undergraduate students join The New School community, their parents and family members come along for the ride, too! Family Orientation will be held on Monday, August 22. Click here for more details!
