The Parsons x Adobe Not Generated Creative AI Lab is the second event in the Adobe x Parsons Not Generated partnership series, a semester-long collaboration exploring how generative AI is reshaping creative practice, authorship, and responsibility.
This two-day, application-based learning experience is open to current New School students interested in exploring generative AI as part of their creative practice, regardless of discipline or medium. The lab is designed to support hands-on experimentation, critical reflection, and responsible engagement with generative tools.
The lab is led by Brooke Hopper (Adobe Firefly) and Julienne DeVita (Parsons School of Design) and offers exposure to Adobe Firefly workflows alongside small-group mentorship from Adobe staff and Parsons faculty.Â
Friday, March 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Adobe's Union Square Office (100-104 Fifth Avenue)
Â
Saturday, March 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The New School’s Wollman Hall (65 West 11th Street, Room 500)
The Creative AI Lab Includes:
- An all-day in-person intensive focused on tools, workflows, and experimentation with demos by several Adobe employees.
 - A half-day project-based mentorship workshop where students receive feedback and guidance on an existing project from Adobe mentors.
Participants must apply with a current project. Projects do not need to be explicitly AI-focused or technology-driven. During the lab, students will experiment, prototype, and reflect on how generative tools can support intentional authorship, creative decision-making, and the broader Not Generated inquiry into preserving humanity within creative practice.
Eligibility
Open to current undergraduate and graduate students at The New School from all disciplines and majors.
Application deadline:Â Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST
