Founded nearly 70 years ago, the Mannes guitar program was the first of its kind at any college in the U.S. Join us for the Mannes Guitar Department’s annual fall concert, featuring special guests from the Mannes Chamber Music Program, the Mannes Prep Ensemble, and alumni of the guitar program.

The program includes three pieces by Argentine “Nuevo Tango” master Astor Piazzolla, arranged by the performers, alongside a major recent work by Cuban legend Leo Brouwer. Brouwer’s first visit to the U.S. in over four decades was to Mannes, where he led a master class for guitar students.
