Making Time (October 16 - November 9) showcases the remarkable talent of Parsons’ staff and celebrates the creative practices and perspectives of people who support our learning community every day. This show highlights how time acts as both a medium and a constraint—shaping processes of memory, play, transformation, and personal narrative. Featuring works across a range of disciplines and materials, Making Time invites viewers to reflect on how artistic practice can serve as an antidote to the demands of institutional life and how staff continue to make space for experimentation, imagination, and connection in their daily work.
Exhibition Opening: Thursday, October 16 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Featuring work by: Gabriela Awad, Hannah Baker, teke cocina, Curt Confer, Luke Alan Davis, Ella Desmond, Emma Fashing, Lacie Garnes, Tanner Gauvin, María del Mar Hernández, Kasia Hope, Joe Hosking, Jillian Hurley, Walker Keith Jernigan, Casey Kaufman, Sivan Knowler, Deirdre McConnell, Sam Morrison, Lauren Phillips, Jasmin Risk, S. PhaFa Roy, Jackie Slanley, Alec Snow, Jordon Ruth Soper, Megan Stroech, Eva Warne, Leah Wolff, Dillon Yruegas, and Jonathan Yubi.
Presented by Parsons School of Design and co-curated by Molly Davy and Shannon Finnell with curatorial and programming assistance from Gummy Nichols, MA History of Design and Curatorial Studies '26.
This exhibition is made possible through the support of the Office of the President and Parsons Deans Council.
The ⏰ MAKING TIME ⏰ program series expands the staff exhibition beyond the gallery walls through screenings, readings, workshops, and conversations that highlight the breadth of creative practices thriving within our community. From film and language to repair, memory, and seeing, these events invite audiences to experience the many ways staff artists engage with storytelling, sustainability, history, and visibility. Together, the programs create space for connection, skill-sharing, and reflection—foregrounding the depth of creative life that exists alongside and beyond the daily rhythms of institutional work.
