Contemporary Music at Lang is pleased to announce the formation of Lang Music Room, a new interactive discussion series convened by faculty and alumni together. Open to any students who wish to join the conversation. The first session, “Protest and Process,” will be hosted by Ivan Raykoff (faculty) and alumni guests Zaffy Matthews (Arts in Context: Music & Psychology, 2018) and Mallory Strom (Liberal Arts, 2020). The four sessions will be held every two weeks on Wednesdays at 8 pm, and future sessions will be led by Clara Latham, Evan Rapport, and Stefania de Kenessey with alumni to be announced.

This series is part of Lang Summer Learning Community Grants. Lang Summer Learning Communities are comprised of faculty members and students who come together to study and explore a shared topic or issue. In this time of distance, the groups will use technology to acquire a deeper understanding of a topic of shared interest. Activities will include readings, synchronous and asynchronous discussions, writing and reflection.
