The New School Los Angeles Alumni Community Group offers New School graduates in Southern California opportunities to connect with fellow graduates from across divisions of The New School—Parsons School of Design, College of Performing Arts, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, The New School for Social Research, Schools of Public Engagement, and Parsons Paris, who reside and work in the region.
With more than 2,000 New School alumni calling Los Angeles home, it represents the second largest alumni population outside of the New York City tri-state area. Your creativity, advocacy, and innovation are evident wherever you go, and we take pride in having you as part of our esteemed alumni community.
Thanks to a dedicated team of regional-chapter volunteer alumni council, the Office of Alumni Engagement now provides a platform where alumni can come together through local social events as well online on The New School Network Los Angeles Alumni Group. We also encourage Los Angelenos to share their stories and advice with current students through our zoom-based, Meet a Mentor program connecting global alumni to our NYC and Paris campuses.

With 20+ years in the art world, Charlie gained expertise at major galleries like Pace, Gagosian, and Metro Pictures. Co-founding Komo Collective in 2017, he fosters artist visibility and sales. As Director of Advisory at Winston Art Group, he advises global clients on acquisitions. A horology enthusiast, Charlie specializes in Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Richard Mille, guiding collectors amid market growth. His roles span gallery director, curator, and artist liaison, reflecting his passion for post-war & contemporary art, particularly Minimalism. Learn More
Emily is Senior Director of Marketing for Diamond Development Group, a Los Angeles based commercial real estate development firm. Raised in Hong Kong, Emily comes from a real estate development background through her family of international investors. She is responsible for community outreach, digital marketing and events for retail shopping centers in Orange County. She also has experience in retail management, investing and leasing.
Kim has worked as a character designer, background designer, storyboard artist, writer, and director on television series at Disney TV, Nickelodeon, PBS, and Cartoon Network. In 2010, she won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in Animation for her work on Disney’s Phineas and Ferb. In 2019, she worked as a Creative Manager at Netflix Animation for over 20 separate animation projects. She is now returning to Disney TV as a staff writer on the new relaunch of Phineas and Ferb.
Montrese Chandler's diverse career spans commercial real estate and fashion design. At KW Commercial Downtown Los Angeles, she specializes in urban retail and multifamily investments. Previously at JLL, she focused on luxury retail leasing in Beverly Hills. With experience managing family-owned properties, she transitioned from fashion, where she oversaw operations for Giorgio Armani Corporation's key accounts. A Parsons School of Design alumna and Howard University graduate, she holds various board positions and engages in charitable endeavors, showcasing her passion for design and community building. Sasa Li, a private wealth advisor at Wells Fargo Bank in Beverly Hills, caters to ultra-high net worth clients' holistic wealth management needs. She crafts personalized plans by understanding their distinct objectives and coordinates a team of specialists for implementation. With a background at Goldman Sachs in New York City, she served private clients on a prominent team before transitioning to finance. Previously, she ran an independent costume design firm, collaborating with renowned entertainers and commercial productions. Sasa holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern School of Business and a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, where she consistently received the Dean's Merit Scholarship.
