Sean Kwon and Dash Brahmann from Joe's Blackbook will be on campus to kick off their 2025 Design Scholarship competition. They will talk about JBB's role in the fashion industry as well as all of the information you need to know to apply for the $10,000 design scholarship.
We encourage you to stay after the info session for AI-Powered Creativity: Transforming Fashion with Generative Tools from 4-6pm. The New School's Maya Georgieva will live demo techniques for using generative image-based AI software like playground.ai and Adobe Firefly for fashion design. You'll come away with tips that will help you iterate and explore ideas faster, as well as create work that expresses your own specific style—responsibly. This talk will also explore questions around ethical considerations, sustainability, and implications of AI for design and the world.
