The JACK Quartet celebrates the release of their newest album featuring Cenk Ergün’s mind-bending Celare and outrageously ruthless Sonare, both commissioned by Chamber Music America in 2016. The two works are woven together by Sky Macklay’s Many Many Cadences and the US premiere of Oscar Bianchi’s The Pathos of Distance.

The JACK Quartet began its tenure as quartet-in-residence at Mannes in September 2019. JACK Quartet regularly presents concerts and master classes at Mannes. Each member of the quartet coaches chamber ensembles and maintains a private studio at the school. JACK also produces an annual festival, JACK Frontiers Festival, which is designed to amplify new and distinctive voices in music while challenging the norms of concert music.
