Carlos Toh Zwakhala Idibouo, originally from Côte d'Ivoire defines themselves as an AfroQueer with non-conforming gender. Carlos is a prominent LGBTQI+ activist actively working on issues related to human rights, Mental Health, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility, Gender Equality, Gender-based violence, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights both in Africa and internationally.
Tsion Gurmu (she/her) is an Ethiopian American attorney, writer, consultant, and researcher on migration, with special focus on gender and sexuality. She is also the founder and Director of the Queer Black immigrant project (QBip), a Black radical lawyering initiative providing comprehensive legal representation to LGBTQIA+ Black immigrants while creating a safe space for clients to regain control over their voices through a storytelling project.
Yasir Ali Khan, is originally from Pakistan and is seeking asylum in Canada. Since 2009, Yasir has lived with HIV and later experienced chemsex/PNP; he began his journey as an HIV activist in 2014, and is the first person to have worked on harm reduction issues for diverse communities in Pakistan. He volunteers with Myrmex, a housing non-profit; is a peer support services coordinator with Case House Canada, a mental health organization headquartered in Toronto; is a community coordinator with Reshape/IHP London UK; and advocates for global HIV Harm Reduction, Chemsex, Party and Play (PNP).
