Equity for Children is hosting an online seminar as part of the Science Summit for the UN SDGs, which is a segment of the 79th UN General Assembly.

The seminar will bring together leading researchers with experience in analyzing child poverty. The purpose is to discuss how to better utilize existing data on child poverty and environmental changes and to improve the scientific tools needed to reflect complex and multifaceted realities. This process includes developing the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) and the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS). It also involves combining different data sources, such as satellite data, to understand the effects of deforestation and flooding, and using AI technology for more detailed and accurate measurements.
