Circe Henestrosa, Mexican Fashion Curator, will share her journey curating and working with Frida Kahlo's personal archive. Locked away for 50 years after her death, this unique exhibition of her wardrobe examined how experiences of disability, ethnicity, political outlook, and gender identity defined Kahlo's life, art, and style.

Circe Henestrosa is a Mexican fashion curator and Head of the School of Fashion at LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts in Singapore. Henestrosa curated the exhibition Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving (2012) at the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico. She then curated the blockbuster exhibition Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London (2018), the Brooklyn Museum in New York (2019), the Fine Arts Museum DeYoung in San Francisco (2020), and the Fashion Museum Palais Galliera in Paris (2022). She has researched and conducted fashion exhibition projects in Asia, including Singapore, Cambodia, the Philippines, and South Korea. She is studying for her PhD at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, focusing on curation, fashion, and diversity. Her publications include Frida Kahlo by Katerina Jebb–Corpus (2022), Frida and San Francisco (2020), Frida Kahlo Making Her Self Up (2018), Frida by Ishiuchi (2013), and Building a New Model for Museums in the 21st Century (2005).
