Join us for a reading with authors Kyle Lucia Wu and Mary Dixie Carter, as they sit down with Helen Schulman, fiction coordinator at the Creative Writing program.

Kyle Lucia Wu is the author of Win Me Something, forthcoming from Tin House Books in November 2021. She is the Programs & Communications Director at Kundiman, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing Asian American literature, and a senior editor at Joyland. She has received the Asian American Writers’ Workshop Margins fellowship and residencies from the Byrdcliffe Colony, the Millay Colony, Plympton’s Writing Downtown Residency, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, and has taught creative writing at Fordham University, Catapult and The New School.

Mary Dixie Carter's writing has appeared in TIME, The Economist, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Sun, The New York Observer and other print and online publications. She worked at The Observer for five years, where she served as the publishing director. In addition to writing, she also has a background as a professional actor. Mary Dixie graduated from Harvard College with an honors degree in English Literature and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two young children. THE PHOTOGRAPHER is her first novel.
