Parsons BFA Fashion Design Program is pleased to host an evening with Executive Producer Ryan Murphy, Producer/Costume Designer Lou Eyrich, and Zac Posen, designer of the Swans' Black and White Ball Gowns.
The forthcoming second installment of Ryan Murphy’s Feud anthology for FX, titled “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” is an eight-episode limited series based on the bestselling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer. The series, premiering on FX on January 31st, is centered on the relationships between famous – and notorious – author Truman Capote and a circle of glittering American high society women. Capote's friendships with "The Swans" sours in the 1970s with the publication of "La Côte Basque, 1965" in Esquire, an extract from a roman à clef spilling (and opining on) some of their darkest secrets.
BFA Fashion Design Director Marie Genevieve Cyr will moderate a conversation with the panelists on the sumptuous costumes, designing for TV/film, and period style. It will be followed by an audience Q&A.
Presented by The School of Fashion at Parsons School of Design and FX Networks.
