Feminist Economics Seminar Series |

Towards a Gender-Inclusive Social Policy State: The Feminist Case for a Basic Income in the U.S.

Public Programs and Events

Accessibility note:

A red event poster for the Feminist Economics Seminar Series at The New School. The event is titled "Towards a Gender-Inclusive Social Policy State: The Feminist Case for a Basic Income in the U.S." The poster explains that although U.S. social policy programs are nominally gender-neutral, they hinder gender equality in practice. Speaker Almaz Zelleke, Professor of Practice in Political Science at NYU Shanghai, will present her forthcoming book arguing that a gender-inclusive social policy state requires unconditional, universal, individual basic income. Discussants are Rita Sandoval and Hoyeon Lee, both Doctoral Candidates. The session is chaired by Sakiko Fukuda-Parr, Professor of International Affairs, NSSR. The event takes place on Tuesday, October 28, 3:00–4:30 PM, Room 713, The New School, 72 Fifth Avenue, 7th floor.

Example caption for photo. This is optional, just turn it off if you don't need it.
