Domestic Logic will bring together people from a wide range of backgrounds to celebrate the home as a site to produce knowledge. This event is a one-day online gathering with lightning talks and workshops. We have invited artists, homemakers, hobbyists, philosophers, activists, and storytellers to consider the depth of the essential, yet trivialized procedures such as food preparation, waste-processing, caregiving, knitting, and storytelling as a form of knowledge production that activates pathways towards critical methodologies.
The symposium is hosted by New School faculty Anette Millington, Fabiola Hanna, Katherine Moriwaki, and Xin Xin, and generously funded by the Innovations in Education Fund administered by the Provost’s Office of Research Support.
