The Design and Technology programs at Parsons announce the return of Cloud Salon, a Zoom webinar series that invites artists, designers, technologists, and industry professionals to present projects and to engage in direct conversations with participants. This fall, DT is partnering on Cloud Salon curation with Black Beyond.

Cloud Salon kicks off for Fall 2020 with Suzanne Kite. Kite is an Oglala Lakota performance artist, visual artist, and composer and a PhD candidate at Concordia University and Research Assistant for the Initiative for Indigenous Futures, and a 2019 Trudeau Scholar. Her research is concerned with contemporary Lakota epistemologies through research-creation, computational media, and performance practice. Recently, Kite has been developing a body interface for movement performances, carbon fiber sculptures, immersive video & sound installations.
This talk will begin with a 20-minute presentation by Kite, followed by a 40-minute conversation with participants, moderated by Design and Technology faculty.
