Lani Adeoye is an award-winning Nigerian designer who moves seamlessly between methods and mediums to offer new modes of living. As the founder of Studio Lani, a design brand spanning furniture, lighting, wearables and assistance devices, her practice is wide-ranging but always centered on creating empathy and connection. ‘Designing for Life’s rhythms’ - Studio Lani designs timeless objects that dance to a universal melody while tuning into a deep sense of place.
While her practice is primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria, Lani is based between New York and Lagos. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University, she worked as a corporate consultant before graduating from Parsons School of Design, where she currently teaches. This rich tapestry of interests and abilities gives her a diverse toolkit to reach for when solving problems; one that combines her analytical approach to function with an innate sensitivity to form.
Her works have been acquired for the permanent collections of institutions including Montreal Museum of Fine Arts & Die Neue Sammlung, while numerous international recognitions include first prize in Milan’s 2022 ‘SaloneSatellite: Designing for our future selves’ award for RemX, an asymmetric walker which, as the jury stated, merges “Elegance and Dignity in a useful object for all”, cementing her reputation as an innovator. In 2020, she was selected by Elle Décor in its Women of the World: 75 Global Female Designers Worth Celebrating issue, and was also featured in 1000 Design Classics and Woman Made, a celebration of the world’s greatest female designers, published by Phaidon.

Whitney Allysyn is the founder and creative director of the Whitney Allysyn Tall Womenswear Collection. The daughter of a soldier and a teacher, she was raised between Germany and El Paso, Texas. After earning a BS in Biology from New Mexico State University, she ventured to Washington, DC to attend graduate school where she earned an MBA from the University of the District of Columbia.
While living in the nation’s capital, Whitney immersed herself in the budding fashion scene – as a makeup artist for CHANEL Beauté within major department stores and as an intern at various fashion and entertainment public relations startup firms. After teaching middle school math and science for a few years, Whitney decided to pursue her ultimate fashion dream and attend Parsons School of Design where she earned an AAS in Fashion Marketing.
In 2021, she took all her fashion and beauty experience and started her namesake label in service of tall women. With the mission to solve a problem that she herself had – not being able to easily access luxury quality, affordable apparel for her 5’9”, 35” inseam frame – Whitney Allysyn launched in June 2023 to help tall women dress the way they’re meant to dress, without compromise.

Liselle Kiss handbags are recognized as the top Black and women-owned handbag brand to support by Oprah Daily, and seen in British Vogue and Elle.
Drawing inspiration from her Miami roots and Trinidadian heritage, she curates her designs from Brooklyn, merging New York and Miami Art Deco, showcasing her elegant and vibrant designs. Liselle Kiss is dedicated to women empowerment and is the author of the book "The Millennial Woman: Conquer Thy Queendom," which is a guiding light for women entrepreneurs striving to achieve their dreams and goals
