Ayesha Barenblat is a social entrepreneur with a passion for building sustainable supply chains that respect people and our planet. With over 15 years of leadership to promote social justice and sustainability within the fashion industry, she founded Remake to mobilize citizens to demand a more just, transparent, and accountable fashion industry. Remake’s free educational resources, advocacy campaigns, and Fashion Accountability Report are focused on making fashion a force for good.
Arielle V. King is an environmental justice educator and strategist working at the nexus of climate, law, and culture. She is the Racial Justice Center Assistant Director at the New York Civil Liberties Union. As a consultant and lecturer, Arielle shares her expertise on environmental justice, media, and social justice issues at institutions across the United States. She is also the host of “The Joy Report”, a podcast all about positive climate solutions through the lens of intersectionality and optimism. Arielle has spent over half her life advocating for social and environmental issues at academic institutions, with community organizations, on stages across the US, and through the media.
Alyssa Hardy is an author and fashion journalist based in New York City. Her book Worn Out: How Our Clothes Cover Up Fashion's Sins details the stories of workers throughout the fashion industry. She is currently the Style Director and Contributing Editor at Teen Vogue. Alyssa regularly reports on sustainable fashion for Vogue, Elle, InStyle, and more.
Liz Ricketts, Co-Founder & Executive Director of the OR Foundation, is an educator, designer, and strategist. Working within the industry as a designer and stylist, Liz witnessed the toxicity of fashion’s disposable culture firsthand and has since been dedicated to transforming the industry. She holds a Masters in Education from Harvard University. She has taught as both full-time faculty and as a guest lecturer in K-12 classrooms and in universities. Her upcycled garments have appeared in international magazines, film and TV. And her work as a researcher and advocate for a Justice-Led Circular Economy has been published widely.
