When do apologies matter in our social and political lives, and when do they not? With public demands for apology and accountability on all sides---and some public figures apologizing while others refuse to do so---a discussion of the subject could not be more critically important.
Join us in considering the role of political and public apology in the context of
restorative justice, reparations for slavery, sexual harassment and violence, and the global politics of restitution, among others.
