Parsons' Gromek Institute and Phaidon present Grace: Now. Join us and legendary Vogue editor and international style icon Grace Coddington for an evening celebrating her most memorable fashion imagery from the past decade.Â
Grace Coddington is a fashion legend. Known for both her extraordinary talent and fierce dedication to her work, Coddington has produced some of the industry’s most indelible images and cultural moments. In celebration of the publication of Grace: Now (Phaidon), join us for an evening exploring Coddington’s career, creative process, and the stories behind the images.
Â
Grace: Now is the third volume in Coddington’s career-spanning series of fashion portfolios. Dedicated to her latest chapter as an independent creative, the book features collaborations with thirteen influential photographers – including Annie Leibovitz, Craig McDean, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Klein, Steven Meisel, David Sims and Jamie Hawkesworth – produced over the past decade for the world’s leading fashion publications, including American Vogue, W, British Vogue and Document. It also features many of her drawings that have appeared on the walls of a San Vicente restaurant, on cups and cards, and as part of a collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
Â
Presented by Parsons' Gromek Institute and Phaidon.
After a successful modeling career, Coddington became a fashion editor under Beatrix Miller at British Vogue in 1968, where she worked for nearly twenty years.
In 1987 Coddington moved to New York to become the design director at Calvin Klein.
In 1988 she joined Anna Wintour at American Vogue, where she was the magazine’s creative director until 2016, when she went freelance.
She is the author of the Phaidon titles Grace: Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue (2015/2018), Grace: The American Vogue Years (2016/2026), Marc Jacobs Illustrated (2019), and Grace: Now (2026), as well as Grace: A Memoir (Random House, 2012).
She lives in New York City and Long Island, New York, with Didier Malige and their three cats, Blondie, Jimi, and Blanket.
Sara Moonves has been the Editor in Chief of W Magazine for six years. She is the first female editor of W and was the youngest editor in chief of a major American fashion magazine at the time of her appointment.
Â
Five years ago, Moonves founded and became president of W Media, an independently owned company that acquired W Magazine. Prior to W, she was fashion editor at Vogue T, The New York Times Style Magazine.
Moonves grew up in Los Angeles, and moved to New York to attend the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University.
