Student Sustainability Campus Champion: This award is intended for a student who embodies The New School's commitment to sustainability. The winner of this award is someone who has not only integrated sustainability into their own lives but works to broaden awareness of sustainability issues for the greater New School community. The Sustainability Leader is chosen based on their commitment to initiating, developing, or participating in sustainability strategies around campus. This award is intended to recognize students who have gone beyond the ordinary to show their commitment to sustainability from either an environmental, economic, or social perspective at The New School.

Community Service and Civic Engagement Award: This award honors the student who has made significant contributions to their community through time, actions, talents, and dedication that best embodies the University's ideals of social responsibility. This award particularly recognizes a New School student who has demonstrated a commitment to service through leadership within and beyond the campus community.

Student Social Justice Campus Champion Award: This award honors a student who has promoted social justice through any of an array of activities. This student has made exceptional efforts and contributions in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion, specifically within The New School community. This award is given to an individual that encourages critical dialogue, promotes reflection, and builds community. This student facilitates or inspires organized action through innovative learning and community-building that goes beyond advocacy and promotes critical thinking and tolerance for multiple points of view.

Outstanding International Leadership at The New School: This award contains two categories with the possibility of two winners. The first category honors a student who has demonstrated a commitment to cross-cultural exchange by sharing their culture through participating in peer mentorship, conversation partners, or any local university programs with an international focus. A second category of the award will honor students who have sought to change our understanding of international cultures and communities abroad and/or contributed to community-led solutions to international issues abroad or issues within immigrant communities in the US.

Outstanding Advisor to a Student Organization: This award is given to the advisor to a student organization who has energetically demonstrated support for recognized student organizations/groups. The adviser should have contributed significantly to the organization's success, demonstrated an outstanding commitment to helping students, and assisted campus organizations in achieving their potential. The leadership of a non-paid nature will be given priority.

Outstanding Student Program Of The Year: This award is presented to the student organization(s)/Group (s) who are responsible for the development and implementation of an innovative program which significantly contributed to The New School during the academic year.

Emerging Leader Award: This award is presented to emerging student leaders who have spent at least two years at The New School. Students should have demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities over the last academic year through organizations, service, scholarship, and/or commitment to the advancement of The New School's mission and goals. Highlighting the achievements of undergraduate students, this award is intended to recognize individuals who have accomplished a great deal and whose potential to achieve more is evident. The leadership of a non-paid nature will be given priority.

Graduate Student Leader Award: This award honors a New School graduate student. This award is given to an individual who has significantly impacted or extensively contributed to graduate student life at The New School through outstanding involvement in student life programs, initiatives, and/or organizations.

Leadership in Advocacy Award:  This award honors a student advocate that has worked towards change through advocacy within the community at large. This student is passionate about creating change that impacts their community and uses their leadership role or skills to advocate for an ideal community or individual.
