What is the difference between university-wide events, division-specific events, and program-specific events?
We're so glad you asked! At The New School, you're not just a part of your own individual division or school. You have all the resources of the entire university at your fingertips.
NSSR Orientation events are for NSSR students only. You must attend the Dean's Welcome and Department/Program Meetings.
University-wide events during General Orientation offer sessions on getting involved, campus resources, and social activities that are open to all students regardless of your college or major. Those are optional.
For questions about your general Orientation Experience, university-wide sessions, and other general questions, please email orientation@newschool.edu.
For questions that pertain to your program of study, including NSSR-specific questions, registration, and meetings with faculty, please contact your Student Advisor.
